Brianna N. Nave, is a multifaceted artist and social justice advocate, propelled by a passion for creativity and community empowerment. Brianna was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Inspired by her educational background in Child Development from Clark Atlanta University, she embarked on a journey to merge artistry with activism.
Brianna's dedication to social justice extends beyond her professional endeavors. Currently working at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, she stands at the forefront of photographing, crafting compelling brand identities and developing campaign materials that amplify voices and advocate for social justice. Her strategic vision and creative prowess were instrumental in leading the One Fair Wage Ballot Initiative 82 campaign in Washington, D.C. to success, advocating for a significant increase in the minimum wage for tipped workers. During her time at One Fair Wage, she worked on numerous national digital and advertising campaigns. Throughout her career, Brianna has demonstrated a commitment to leveraging photography and digital and print media for social change. Her experiences at organizations such as the Prince George's County Educators' Association (PGCEA) and the Center for Education Reform have equipped her with a deep understanding of communication strategies and grassroots advocacy.
With a proven track record of designing impactful campaigns and fostering meaningful connections across digital platforms, Brianna is dedicated to using her skills to empower underserved communities and effect positive social change. She actively contributes to community initiatives as an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Additionally, she extends her digital expertise to HBCU local Alumni Chapters nationwide, particularly Clark Atlanta University and Tennessee State University, enhancing recruitment efforts. Her mission is to use photojournalism to develop stories, capture history, and create concepts and branding that resonate with audiences, while inspiring agitation and action to drive meaningful progress towards a more just and equitable society.
